Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) defines prohibited activities when using TandemPay services. Merchants agree to comply with this policy as part of their Terms of Service.
2. Prohibited Activities
Merchants may not use TandemPay for:
Illegal Goods and Services
- Illegal drugs, controlled substances, or drug paraphernalia
- Stolen goods or services
- Counterfeit or unauthorized products
- Illegal gambling or betting services
- Any activity prohibited by applicable law
Fraudulent or Deceptive Practices
- Ponzi schemes, pyramid schemes, or multi-level marketing scams
- False or misleading product claims
- Identity theft or impersonation
- Phishing or social engineering attacks
- Fake or manipulated transaction data
Financial Crimes
- Money laundering or structuring transactions to evade reporting
- Terrorist financing or support for sanctioned entities
- Tax evasion schemes
- Transactions involving sanctioned countries or individuals
High-Risk Activities
- Adult content or services (subject to additional review)
- Weapons, explosives, or hazardous materials
- Services enabling illegal activity
- Unregistered securities or investment schemes
Abuse of Service
- Excessive chargebacks or fraud disputes
- Testing stolen card numbers
- Automated attacks or API abuse
- Creating multiple accounts to evade restrictions
3. Merchant Responsibilities
Merchants must:
- Accurately describe products and services to customers
- Maintain clear refund and return policies
- Respond promptly to customer disputes and chargeback inquiries
- Comply with applicable payment card network rules
- Maintain records for tax and legal compliance
4. Monitoring and Enforcement
TandemPay monitors transactions for suspicious activity and compliance with this AUP. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these policies. Serious violations may be reported to law enforcement.
5. Consequences of Violation
Violations may result in:
- Warning and required corrective action
- Temporary account suspension
- Permanent account termination
- Reporting to payment networks and regulatory authorities
- Legal action for damages

7. Updates to This Policy
We may update this AUP periodically to reflect regulatory changes or service updates. Merchants will be notified of material changes via email.
